As Christians, we need to be led by God. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. If we want to be in God’s will and do what pleases Him, we need to ask for his continued direction. Here is a prayer for God’s direction. Feel free to pray it whenever you need direction.
Dear God,
With an open heart, I come to you today seeking your guidance and wisdom. As the Creator of all things, and I know that you hold the answers to every question and the path to every answer. I ask for your divine direction in my life, and that you would lead me where you want me to go.
Lord, I trust in your plans for me, even when I don’t fully understand the way ahead. Help me to say ok and just trust that you have my best interest at heart. Please light my path and make your will clear. When I am unsure, grant me peace and discernment to recognize your voice. Help me to make choices that honor you and align with your purpose for my life.
Guide me in my relationships, my work, my decisions, and in every step I take. I surrender my plans to you and ask that you align my heart with yours. May your Holy Spirit lead me in the right direction, and may I walk confidently, trusting that you are with me every step of the way.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
